"Sonni" is a clinical social worker who has been in practice for over 20 years. She has provided therapy in both in and out patient settings with children, adolescents and adults. Her skills have focused on addressing mood and substance abuse issues as well as identity and family problems from a holistic perspective emphasizing body and self-awareness to develop healthy self-care techniques and lifestyle changes towards healing. She has a special interest in women’s issues, specifically in helping with the challenges of pregnancy and post-partum mood disorders. An additional focus of her therapeutic experience and interest is helping in areas of gender identity and homosexuality in adolescents, adults and interpersonal relationships. She provides individual, family and marital therapy and she strives to increase clients’ ability to feel empowered and clearer about their strengths and resources.
